A writer obsessed with writing (and reading), Gail Hewitt invites you to explore this site dedicated to her books, her writing process, and – most especially – the readers who are the reason she writes.
In the navigation bar at the top of this page you’ll find several tabs, as follows:
- HOME – this “welcome” page
- BLOG – where Gail posts any general comments she has and invites readers to do the same
- BOOKS – a list of Gail’s books, in reading order, with a brief description of each
- EXTRACTS – an extract from each of Gail’s books
- TRAILERS / PODCASTS – video trailer and podcast for each of Gail’s books
- INTERVIEW – interview with Gail about each of her books
- WRITING – Gail’s writing process, discussion of techniques, and a look at living the writing life
- DISCUSSION GUIDES – book details and questions for discussion
- CONTACT GAIL – a form you can use to email Gail.
In the right sidebar, you’ll find information about Gail’s background relevant to her writing, as well as a calendar of upcoming publication dates and any other book-related events. In the Left sidebar, you’ll find a monthly-archive list, login for those wishing to comment, a breadcrumb navigation indicator, a search bar, and a list of Site Pages.
The goal has been to provide material of practical use to those exploring Gail’s work. If you’re already familiar with it, you’ll be interested in what you find here. If you’re unfamiliar with her writing, this will give you a good idea of its nature and whether or not it will appeal to you.

I’d recommend Loved Me Once to anyone who likes their characters real and their situations slightly heightened. It would make a perfect beach or airplane read this summer.
