Gail’s Books

In this section, you’ll find Gail’s books, numbered in reading order, with a brief summary of each. Gail is a new author, so the list is short (for now). In fact, there are only two to list, both from the LOVE ME Series:

  • NUMBER ONE: Loved Me Once – Published 7/2009 – Description: Maggie McLaurin has it all: beauty; brains; sex appeal; chic New York condo; and what many would consider a dream job. But appearances are deceptive. She’s also burdened with an acute lack of self-esteem, a tradition of bad relationships, debt, and full responsibility for the mother from hell. As Christmas 2008 approaches, Maggie is hit by a perfect storm of personal, professional, and financial crises, and must make choices that are complicated by her emotional isolation. Given her unfortunate history, can she trust either of the men seemingly offering her salvation? Should she take the job of a lifetime unexpectedly dangled before her by the old-boy-friend-who-made-good, the one who “loved me once,” even though he subsequently humiliated her, broke her heart, and hung onto embarrassing Polaroids of her seventeen-year-old self? Or should she turn, instead, to the insistent, well-connected lover, the romantic who’s determined to put his great-grandmother’s “gossip-column diamond” on her third finger, left hand (as long as she’ll accept the strings he attaches)? This decision matters, for what she decides will change her life forever. A sharply written look at the world of contemporary business and those who keep it interesting, LOVED ME ONCE shows that things are rarely what they seem.
  • NUMBER TWO: Love Me Now – Scheduled Publication Date 12/2009 – Description: By Valentine’s Day 2009, Maggie McLaurin thought her financial problems were solved and her romantic future guaranteed to be racing ahead in the “happily ever after” lane. Life, however, refuses to cooperate, and she finds herself with a new and alarming set of challenges. Worse, the solutions proposed by the men in her life (including one very important newcomer) serve only to complicate the situation. This time the tug of war between her heart and her head, colored as always by memories of past betrayals, proves even more difficult to resolve.
